The San Diego Model Railroad Museum occupies the lower level of the Casa de Balboa building in Balboa Park, across from the lily pond. It is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with admission ranging up to $13.50 for adults and free entry for children age 3 and under. San Diego County residents, including college students and active-duty military, are admitted free on the second Thursday of each month.
