About Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum

This Pittsburgh landmark is a military memorial that honors men and women who served in any branch of the U.S. armed forces, from every generation and conflict. Its collection holds more than 9,100 artifacts gathered over roughly a century, and exhibits use those objects to tell personal stories from the Civil War to the present day. Visitors can also see works of art tied to individual service members. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is described as the largest U.S. memorial devoted only to military veterans and service members. A nonprofit organization runs the site, which also hosts events, educational programs, and private rentals.
