Valley Camp is a former lake freighter moored in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and operated today as a museum ship. Visitors can walk her deck and explore a museum built into her cargo holds, which has more than 100 exhibits. Displays include the two lifeboats recovered from the Edmund Fitzgerald, a presentation about that 1975 loss, and four large Great Lakes fish aquariums. Cabins show how the crew lived aboard, from the captain's quarters to the spaces used by oilers and coal passers.
