Sunset Blvd between Marmont Ln and Phyllis St · West Hollywood, CA
The Sunset Strip is the stretch of Sunset Boulevard that runs through West Hollywood, from the Los Angeles border on the east to Beverly Hills at Phyllis Street. You can walk past rock venues such as the Whisky a Go Go, the Roxy Theatre, the Viper Room and the Rainbow Bar & Grill. Its clubs were a hub of the 1960s counterculture and the 1980s Los Angeles heavy metal scene. Huge, colorful billboards hang over the route.

Covers and minimums are normal
Weekend nights often carry a door charge or a per-person minimum, especially for table seating.
Bring ID either way
Age policies shift by night and by room, so carry it even if you have not been asked in years.
Weeknights show the room properly
Quieter nights are the ones where you can actually hear the band and find a seat.
