About Taft Museum of Art

Charles Phelps and Anna Sinton Taft left their house and art collection to Cincinnati, and the museum opened in 1932. The house, built around 1820, holds more than 800 objects, including paintings by Rembrandt, Gainsborough and Turner. Its walls carry eight landscape murals that Robert S. Duncanson painted in 1851 and 1852, the reason the house is a National Historic Landmark. Adult admission is $15, but entry is free on Sundays and Mondays, and parking in the on-site garage is free.
