Stand at the 1871 bronze fountain at the heart of Fountain Square, and drink from the figures around its rim.
Fountain Square, 520 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202 · Cincinnati, OH
This 43-foot bronze fountain was dedicated on October 6, 1871, a gift from Henry Probasco to the people of Cincinnati in memory of his partner Tyler Davidson. At the top, the nine-foot Genius of Water lets water stream from her hands. The four figures around the rim were built as drinking fountains, and you can still drink from them. It stands on Fountain Square at Fifth and Vine, where free concerts and events run through the year.
