About The Contemporary Austin

The Contemporary Austin is the city's contemporary art museum, with two sites. The Jones Center on Congress Avenue has 7,000 square feet of galleries and a rooftop deck. Laguna Gloria is a 14-acre property on Lake Austin, once owned by Stephen F. Austin, with Clara Driscoll's restored 1916 Italianate villa and the Betty and Edward Marcus Sculpture Park; it also hosts one of the country's larger museum art schools. Adult tickets are $10 at each site, and both are free to everyone on Thursdays.
