About Three Valley Museum

Operated by the Durant Historical Society, this nonprofit museum opened in 1976 and holds artifacts about Bryan County's past. Its displays cover the county from its 1873 beginnings up to today. A second-floor recreated small town shows more than 20 businesses and scenes from the early 1900s, including a law office, doctor's office, child's room, parlor, and general store. Other galleries cover area transportation history and a Native American gallery focused on tribes of southeast Oklahoma. The name honors a book by Henry McCreary about Durant.
