Chickasaw National Recreation Area

901 W 1st St · Sulphur, OK

Why you should go…

This National Park Service area in the Arbuckle foothills protects freshwater and mineral springs, streams and lakes. The tree-covered Travertine District has Travertine Creek, Rock Creek and small waterfalls linked by walking trails, while Lake of the Arbuckles draws boaters, anglers and campers. You'll find more than 20 miles of trails and six campgrounds. It began in 1902 as Sulphur Springs Reservation and was later Platt National Park.
