29450 Valley of Fire Hwy · Overton, NV
Nevada's oldest state park, designated in 1935, covers about 40,000 acres of red Aztec sandstone that formed from shifting dunes 150 million years ago. You can drive the 10.5-mile Valley of Fire Road, hike to formations such as Fire Wave and White Domes, and see petroglyphs more than 2,000 years old at Atlatl Rock and Mouse's Tank. A new visitor center opened in November 2025, and three stone cabins built by the Civilian Conservation Corps still stand.
