The Waterloo Area Historical Society runs this museum to show how Michigan pioneer farm families lived and worked. The grounds are open for visitors to explore. The farmhouse holds period furnishings and artifacts, and the outbuildings include a bakehouse, log house, icehouse, windmill, and barns that show self-sufficient farming in the 1800s. Guided tours of the buildings are by appointment only. The society also runs the Dewey School Museum in Stockbridge.
