Wilson Castle is a mid-1800s mansion in the Green Mountains of Vermont, styled with European influences and often called the state's only real castle. Five generations of one family lived there. Part of the property is now held by a nonprofit foundation that works to preserve the building. Visitors can join guided historical tours, and the grounds include barns, stables, a carriage house, and a glass house. The castle also hosts haunted tours, paranormal investigations, and weddings, and the proceeds help fund ongoing restoration work.
