The Fun and Thrilling Attractions in the Nation's Largest Mall

The Mall of America may be the largest shopping center in the country, boasting over 520 stores, but it offers so much more than retail therapy. Hosting amusement parks, escape rooms, movie theaters, and more, it’s an indoor entertainment plaza as much as it is a mall.

1. SEA LIFE Minnesota

From jellyfish and stingrays to seahorses and turtles, get close to thousands of sea creatures at the SEA LIFE Aquarium. Touch starfish, sea anemones, and sea cucumbers and learn about the small-but-tough creatures that live in tidepools. View sharks through a 300-foot glass tunnel or snorkel through the Rainbow Reef exhibit. Discover a fascinating world under the waves, all right in the mall.

2. Nickelodeon Universe

It may be hard to imagine a seven-acre amusement park inside a mall, but Nickelodeon Universe proves otherwise. Enjoy 27 different rides and attractions, from family-friendly classics such as the Log Flume to thrilling roller coasters like Shredder’s Mutant Masher. Kids can meet and get their picture taken with characters like SpongeBob, Dora the Explorer, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

3. Mini-Golf

Few things embody family fun like miniature golf, and the Mall has two different options. With Rock of Ages Blacklight Minigolf, putt your way through different eras of music from the 1950s to present day. The groovy blacklight makes  The holes are just difficult enough to pose a challenge, but not so much that the little ones get frustrated.

Meanwhile, Moose Mountain Adventure Golf offers a more whimsical design with a woodsy feel. You’ll golf 18 holes surrounded by cartoon vehicles and life-size moose and horses. While both courses are inside Nickelodeon Universe, tickets for just golf can be purchased in lieu of a theme park ticket.

4. The Escape Game

Looking to be a hero of your own Hollywood movie for an hour? Check out the Escape Game, a live, 60-minute adventure where teams must find clues, overcome challenges, and work together to complete their mission. Bring your friends or team up with strangers to escape from prison, steal a famous painting, or repair a spaceship.
