In the summer of 2019, llamas will be making their debut at the Minnesota Zoo. Llama Trek, the special experience along the Northern Trail, will allow guests to walk among free-roaming llamas. The seasonal space will feature other South American animals—guinea pigs and flightless birds known as rheas—and highlight the Minnesota Zoo’s efforts to support wild chinchilla conservation in Chile.

Families will love Trollhaugen's Adventure Park, an aerial challenge course and guided line zip tour with activities for all ages. For those who would still like to enjoy nature but remain indoors, check out the talks and shows at SEA LIFE Aquarium at the Mall of America.

History buffs will love the Wabasha Street Caves, which were turned into a nightclub in 1933 called The Castle Royal and is home to many Prohibition-Era legends. Afterwards, dine out at one of Minneapolis’ restaurants, which encompass an assortment of cultural cuisine. Enjoy Vietnamese food at Lotus, Latin street food and 100 varieties of tequila at Barrio Tequila Bar, and some of the best prime beef at Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
