About Sullivan Museum and History Center

The Sullivan Museum and History Center is the official museum of Norwich University. It holds about 20,000 objects and artworks, including uniforms, weapons, class rings, educational tools, Alden Partridge items, and World War propaganda posters. Exhibits mix permanent displays, rotating shows, and loans from other institutions, and many connect to student work or campus events. The museum is named for alumnus GEN Gordon R. Sullivan, who later served as Army Chief of Staff. As a Smithsonian Affiliate, it can draw on national collections. Visitors may also attend lunch-and-learn sessions, speaker events, and guided tours during the academic year.
