The American Windmill Museum, formerly the American Wind Power Center, holds what is billed as the world's largest collection of restored windmills, with more than 160 units on display across 28 acres of city park land. More than 100 windmills are shown indoors alongside a 6,000-square-foot mural on wind power history, while over 50 more stand outside, including a modern turbine built in 2005. The museum was established in 1993 and also features a large-scale model train display.
