Angels Landing

The Grotto, Zion Canyon shuttle stop 6 · Springdale, UT

Why you should go…

Angels Landing is a Navajo Sandstone fin in Zion National Park, reached by a 5.4-mile round-trip trail that climbs 1,488 feet from the Grotto shuttle stop. The switchbacks were built in 1926, and the last half-mile follows a narrow ridge with a metal chain and sheer drops on both sides. Everyone going past Scout Lookout needs a permit, issued by lottery. You can hike to Scout Lookout without one.
