Arrow Rock State Historic Site preserves the village of Arrow Rock, a National Historic Landmark on a bluff above the Missouri River along the historic Boone's Lick Trail. The visitor center, opened in 1991, has about 9,000 square feet of exhibits on the village's history. The site includes the 1834 J. Huston Tavern, an old courthouse and the home of artist George Caleb Bingham, plus campsites and hiking trails.
