Beeds Lake State Park sits in Franklin County, Iowa, and centers on a 99-acre reservoir. Anglers are drawn to its fishing spots at the spillway, the causeway, and docks near the south shore. Visitors can walk a roughly two-mile trail along the lake, hike to the base of the spillway dam, boat on the water, and camp in a campground with electric sites. The park was named for a former property owner and was developed later by the Civilian Conservation Corps, which also built the stone and timber beach building.
