Botanica is a city-owned botanical garden in Wichita, home to more than 4,000 plant species. You can wander the rose garden, the Chinese Garden of Friendship, the Butterfly Garden and a koi pond with a waterfall. The Downing Children's Garden adds a tree house and a musical maze, and the Koch Carousel Gardens hold Troll Hill and a restored 1949 carousel that once ran at Wichita's Joyland amusement park.
