About Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park

This 150-acre park keeps what is left of the Bulow Plantation, a sugar, cotton, rice and indigo estate swept away in 1836 during the Second Seminole War. A walking trail leads to the sugar mill ruins, which are on the National Register, past a spring house, wells and the foundations of the plantation house and slave cabins. An interpretive center tells the story, and a boat ramp opens onto Bulow Creek, a state canoe trail. Entry is $4 per vehicle, paid by QR code.
