The Crosby Arboretum is a native plant conservatory affiliated with Mississippi State University, near Picayune. Its mission centers on showing plants native to the Pearl River Drainage Basin, supporting botanical research, and offering cultural, scientific, and recreational programs. The interpretive grounds present three habitats from that ecosystem: a savanna, a woodland, and an aquatic area. Visitors can walk trails through the site, and the arboretum also maintains off-site natural areas used for scientific study.
