Cross Ranch State Park sits on the west bank of the Missouri River near Washburn in Oliver County. The park offers more than 16 miles of trails that visitors can walk, bike, or ski in winter, and the trails connect to a large adjacent nature preserve of prairie, river bottom forest, and wooded draws where bison roam. Visitors can also stay in cabins, yurts, or campgrounds, rent bikes, canoes, kayaks, and snowshoes, and launch boats from the river ramp. Anglers can fish for several species in the river, and a visitor center serves as the main hub for the park.
