International Peace Garden
10939 Highway 281 · Dunseith, ND
Why you should go…
Established in 1932 as a symbol of peace between the United States and Canada, this nearly 2,400-acre garden sits in the Turtle Mountains right on the international border. You can walk the Sunken Garden and Formal Gardens, see the Floral Clock, Peace Chapel, Carillon Bell Tower and 9/11 Memorial, and tour a conservatory of cacti and succulents. Trails for hiking and biking and paddling on Lake Storman round out the grounds.
