About Delaware State Park

Delaware State Park surrounds Delaware Lake, a flood-control reservoir the Army Corps of Engineers built in 1951. Boats of any horsepower can use the 1,300-acre lake, which has three ramps, a seasonal marina with rentals and fishing for crappie, catfish and bass. On shore there is an 800-foot swimming beach, eight picnic areas, easy hiking trails and a 214-site wooded campground. The 27-hole disc golf course at Sweet Gum picnic area is free to play, and two fenced dog parks sit near the beach and the campground.
