About Dunbar Cave State Park

This 140-acre park centers on Dunbar Cave, a prehistoric site with Native American cave art and more than nine miles of mapped passages. The only way inside is a guided tour, offered May through September; the one-hour Enter the Underworld tour costs $18 for adults and $13 for ages 5 to 12. Outside, the Lake Trail circles Swan Lake and climbs into hardwood forest, a good walk for birding in spring and fall. A virtual reality tour at the visitor center shows the cave to anyone who cannot go in.
