This 3-foot narrow-gauge heritage railroad has run continuously between Durango and Silverton, Colorado since 1882, originally hauling silver and gold ore. It is a federally designated National Historic Landmark and a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark, and has been voted the most scenic train in America for several consecutive years. The train operates year-round through the San Juan National Forest with multiple seating classes available.
