The master of macabre whimsy lived in this old sea captain's house on the Yarmouth Port common from 1986 until his death in 2000, and it remains delightfully, strangely his. Annual themed exhibits draw from Gorey's pen-and-ink books and theatrical designs, while a Gashlycrumb Tinies scavenger hunt sends visitors searching the rooms for tiny doomed victims. His collections, his cats' old haunts, and his famous fur coat are all part of the visit.
