Winslow Crocker House is a historic house museum run by Historic New England. The house was built around 1780 in West Barnstable by a trader and land speculator named Winslow Crocker. In the 1930s antiques collector Mary Thacher bought it, had it taken apart beam by beam, and rebuilt beside her family's home in Yarmouth Port. She remodeled the rooms to serve as a setting for her furniture, which spans several early American styles. Visitors take a guided tour that explains both the house's origins and Thacher's changes to it, and the interiors remain largely as she left them. The house is open on weekends in summer and early fall.
