Endless Caverns sits at the base of the Massanutten range near New Market in the Shenandoah Valley. Two boys found the cave in October 1879 while chasing a rabbit, and it opened as a lit show cave in 1920. Guided tours last about 75 minutes and cover just under a mile, which the owners call the longest commercial cave tour in Virginia. The cave stays at 55 degrees year-round and has many stairs, so bring a jacket and good shoes; it is not wheelchair accessible. Adult tickets are $30 and children 4 to 12 pay $17, and an RV resort and cabins are on the same property.
