About Fort Harrison State Park

This 1,700-acre park on the northeast side of Indianapolis blends natural woods and creek valleys with military history from the former Fort Benjamin Harrison grounds. Hikers, joggers, and cyclists can use several trails, including a paved route and rougher loops through upland forest. Visitors can also see the preserved Camp Glenn area and a museum covering 20th century warfare. The park offers picnic sites, fishing access to Fall Creek, a sledding hill, and an 18-hole golf course.
