Eagle Creek Park covers 3,900 acres of woods, meadows and ponds plus about 1,300 acres of reservoir on the northwest side of Indianapolis, making it one of the largest city parks in the country. It has about 30 miles of trails, a beach, a marina with boat rentals, a dog park and a Go Ape treetop course. The Ornithology Center works as the main visitor center, and the park is an Audubon Important Bird Area. Cars pay $6 a day for Marion County residents and $8 for others.
