About Garfield Park Conservatory and Gardens

The conservatory sits in the eastern part of Garfield Park on the near south side of Indianapolis. Its roughly 10,000-square-foot glasshouse holds plant collections, and the adjoining Sunken Garden was designed by landscape architect George Edward Kessler as part of his plan for the city's parks and boulevards. Visitors can also find sculptures throughout the conservatory and a children's garden space nearby. Seasonal shows, such as spring tulip displays, run at certain times of year.
