Gainbridge Fieldhouse is the downtown Indianapolis arena that opened in 1999 as the home of the Indiana Pacers of the NBA, joined by the WNBA's Indiana Fever in 2000. Its brick and glass facade was designed to recall Indiana's classic high school and college field houses, and the building was planned mainly for basketball. Beyond pro games it has hosted Big Ten tournaments and NCAA games, plus major concerts.
