Ganondagan preserves the location of a large Seneca community that flourished in the 1600s, in what is now the Town of Victor. Visitors can walk through a full-size bark longhouse furnished to resemble a typical Seneca household from the late seventeenth century. The newer Seneca Art & Culture Center presents the contributions of the Haudenosaunee peoples to art, culture, and society through exhibits, a film, and a gift shop. Interpretive trails explain local plant life, Haudenosaunee traditions, and the nearby Fort Hill granary. The site also connects its history to the American Revolution, when many Seneca sided with the British.
