Founded in 1660, the Granary is Boston's third oldest cemetery and a stop on the Freedom Trail beside Park Street Church. You can find the graves of Samuel Adams, John Hancock, Robert Treat Paine, Paul Revere and the five victims of the Boston Massacre. About 2,345 markers stand here, mostly slate, though over 5,000 people are thought to be buried on the site. Near the center, a 25-foot obelisk marks the tomb of Benjamin Franklin's parents.
