About Hopkins County Museum and Heritage Park

The museum occupies the George H. Wilson house, completed in 1910, which has distinctive construction and ceiling features. Its displays include Civil War items, Caddo Indian relics, miniatures, period clothing, and a doll collection. Nearby, Heritage Park spans 11 acres and holds historic Hopkins County buildings moved there for restoration, including a blacksmith shop, a country store and post office, a grist mill, log houses, farm homes, and a chapel. Seasonal events such as Christmas in the Park are held there.
