Lake Erie State Park sits on high bluffs above the shallowest of the Great Lakes, northeast of Brocton in Chautauqua County, with more than three quarters of a mile of shoreline. Its 355 acres hold about 100 campsites and 10 cabins, picnic shelters, playgrounds and hiking trails that are used for cross-country skiing in winter. The lake edge draws rare migrating birds, and the Shipwreck Bluff disc golf course opened in 2015. The park is open year-round for day use, and the vehicle fee is $7 on fee days.
