About Buffalo Harbor State Park

Buffalo Harbor State Park covers 190 acres of Lake Erie shoreline on Buffalo's outer harbor and opened on May 24, 2015, taking in Gallagher Beach and the former small boat harbor. It has a 1,100-slip marina, a boat launch, a pier and boardwalk, green space, picnic shelters, a playground and a summer splash pad. Kayakers and paddleboarders launch here, but wind gusts can change quickly, and swimming is currently not allowed. Parking is free, and the boat launch costs $8.
