About Lincoln Woods State Park

Lincoln Woods State Park sits in the town of Lincoln, a short drive from Providence and Pawtucket. The park surrounds Olney Pond and includes a freshwater swimming beach, fishing, boating, playing fields, and walking, jogging, and horse trails. A circular park road is popular with walkers and bicyclists. The land is known for large glacial boulders and rocky terrain. Rhode Island began its state park system with this site, which was formally established in 1909. Park rules limit motorized boats on summer weekends and holidays, and horse trails west of Quinsnicket Road are reserved for riding.
