About Hopkinton State Park

Hopkinton State Park covers 1,500 acres of forest around the Hopkinton Reservoir, a former Boston water supply that became a park in 1947. Two beaches have lifeguards from late May to Labor Day, Regatta Point rents sailboats, kayaks and paddleboards, and more than 10 miles of trails cross the woods. The historic earthen dam gives some of the park's widest views. Summer weekends draw thousands and the gates close when lots fill, so arrive early; parking is $8 for Massachusetts plates and $30 for others.
