Lost River Cave in Bowling Green offers the only underground boat tour in Kentucky. The 45-minute tour starts with a 20-minute guided walk along the river and ends with a 25-minute boat ride into the cave, which has one of the largest natural entrances in the eastern U.S. Guides tell of its days as a Civil War camp, a Jesse James hideout and a 1930s nightclub. Adult tickets are $23.95, and you must bend low in one tight spot, so it is not wheelchair accessible.
