McMenamins Crystal Hotel occupies a 1911 flatiron building in Portland's West End, across the street from the Crystal Ballroom. Each of its 51 rooms is decorated around a song or performance from the ballroom's past; 9 king suites have private baths while the queen and twin rooms share bathrooms down the hall. Overnight guests get free use of the subterranean saltwater soaking pool, and Hal's Cafe, Al's Den (nightly live music and comedy) and Ringlers Annex are on site. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
