Mounts Botanical Garden is Palm Beach County's oldest and largest public garden, spanning 20 acres since it opened in 1954. It displays more than 7,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants across themed areas including a butterfly garden, a Mediterranean garden and a tropical forest. The garden is run by the Palm Beach County Cooperative Extension with the University of Florida IFAS and the nonprofit Friends of the Mounts.
