About National Aviary

The National Aviary on Pittsburgh's North Side is the largest indoor aviary in the United States and the only one Congress has given "National" status. More than 500 birds and other animals from over 150 species live here, including Andean condors, hyacinth macaws and a colony of African penguins. Daily feedings take place inside the Tropical Rainforest and Wetlands habitats, and penguin encounters cost extra. Book tickets online before you go, members included.
