About Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome

Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is a non-profit living museum in the Hudson Valley. It was founded in 1958 by Cole Palen, who wanted to fly the planes he admired as a boy. The museum collects, restores, and exhibits more than 60 aircraft from the Pioneer, World War I, and Golden Age eras. Visitors can see the collection on the ground, take biplane rides in open cockpits, join lighthouse tours, and attend air shows with themed programs. The site also holds a collection of antique automobiles that can still be driven on public roads.
