About Osbornedale State Park

Osbornedale is a state-managed park in the Naugatuck Valley hills, east of the Housatonic River. Visitors can hike, fish, picnic, and tour the Osborne Homestead Museum and its gardens. The Kellogg Environmental Center hosts nature programs and rotating art exhibits. In winter, the park's frozen pond is open for skating, and the state tests its ice for safety. The land was once hunting grounds of the Paugussett people and was later assembled into a large property by Frances Osborne Kellogg, who willed it to Connecticut in 1956.
