The Ozark Gateway Tourist Council, established in 1971 with roots to 1961, provides free visitor information for an eight-county region of the Arkansas Ozark Mountains including Stone, Independence, Sharp, Izard, and Fulton counties. The region features trails leading to waterfalls, fishing rivers such as Spring River, the Five Rivers Challenge, and the Syllamo Bike Trail, an IMBA Epic Ride. The council's visitor office is in Batesville, Arkansas.
