About Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site

Schuyler Mansion is the brick Georgian house that Revolutionary War general Philip Schuyler built in Albany between 1761 and 1765 and lived in until 1804. Elizabeth Schuyler married Alexander Hamilton in its parlor, and guests included George Washington and the captured British general John Burgoyne in 1777. The interior is seen by guided tour only, and tours must be booked ahead by phone. General tours cost $5 for adults, and the grounds and visitor center are free.
