About South Coast Plaza

South Coast Plaza opened in March 1967 on a former lima bean field in Costa Mesa and is still privately held by the Segerstrom family. It is anchored by Macy's, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's, and its roughly 275 retailers include a high concentration of fashion brands. The former Sears space is now the Din Tai Fung Wing, and the center runs an annual Fashion Plates promotion at its restaurants.
